Alright, let’s talk about tracking down that Enshrouded Laboratory. Took me a good chunk of my game time yesterday, figured I’d jot down how it went.
So, I needed some specific materials, something the alchemist mentioned was probably cooked up in some old lab. You know the drill, vague directions and off you go. My first thought was, okay, ‘laboratory’… maybe somewhere advanced, maybe near the Nomad Highlands or even further out? Wasted a bit of time exploring some ruins out east, found some decent loot but definitely no lab.
I retraced my steps, thinking maybe it was closer to the starting areas, hidden away. I remembered clearing out a Shroud root near the Revelwood area earlier. There was this kinda valley nearby, looked a bit suspicious on the map, like something could be tucked away there.
Heading into Revelwood
So, I decided to head back towards Revelwood. Fast traveled to the nearest spire to save some time. From there, I started exploring southwest, heading downhill into the thicker forest and inevitably, the Shroud.
It got pretty dense down there. Had to keep an eye on my timer, navigate around those nasty mushroom guys. I stuck to the edges of the Shroud where possible, looking for any unusual paths or structures.
Eventually, I spotted it. Wasn’t obvious at all. It was built into the side of a cliff face, partially collapsed. Looked more like a cave entrance with some old stonework around it than a proper building from a distance. If you weren’t looking closely, you’d probably walk right past it.
Inside the Lab
Getting inside was straightforward, no locked door or anything. Place was a mess, as expected. Broken tables, smashed vials, cobwebs everywhere. Typical abandoned lab stuff.
- Lots of glowing mushrooms providing some light.
- Had to deal with a few Shroud critters that had moved in.
- Found some research notes scattered around, which was neat for lore.
- Most importantly, found the components I was actually looking for on a workbench in the back room.
Wasn’t a huge place, explored it pretty quickly once I was inside. Found a chest or two with some decent resources as well. Nothing too fancy, but definitely worth the trip for the quest items and the extra bits.
So yeah, that’s how I found it. Not in the desert like I first guessed, but tucked away in a shrouded valley near Revelwood. Took some poking around, but got there in the end. Just gotta keep your eyes peeled for those cliffside structures when you’re down in the foggy bits.
