Okay, so I started playing this new game, “Solo Leveling: Arise”, a few days ago. It was officially released on May 8th, if I remember correctly. It’s a pretty cool action RPG, based on the Solo Leveling manhwa, you know? Anyway, I dove in, started pulling for characters and weapons, the usual gacha stuff. And boy, oh boy, did I learn about their “pity system” the hard way.

At first, I was just enjoying the game, not even thinking about the rates. I made a few pulls, got some decent stuff, but nothing amazing. I pulled and pulled, but no SSR, and I was like, what gives? After 64 pulls, I was still out of luck. It was frustrating, to say the least. I thought my luck was just terrible.

Then, I did some digging around. I found out that the game has this thing called “Draw Support”. So, after 64 pulls without an SSR, your chances start to go up. They call it a “soft pity”, and it starts to make a difference.

  • First 63 draws: Nothing special, just the regular, low rates. I felt it, trust me.
  • 64 draws and beyond: This is where the “Draw Support” kicks in. Each pull after 64 starts to increase your odds of getting an SSR. It’s not a huge jump, but it’s something.
  • 80 draws: I heard that if you make it to 80 draws, you are guaranteed an SSR, but I did not verify this.

I also learned that there is a “Guaranteed System” like other games. I got a 50% chance of not obtaining the limited-rate up character. But, If I have lost my first 50/50 then I’ll definitely get the limited-rate up character next time I receive an SSR.

And there is a thing called “Special Summons”. It is a paid mechanic. After 15 pulls, players can decide which pull to draw. I didn’t use it.

So, yeah, that’s my experience with the “Solo Leveling: Arise” pity system. It’s a bit of a rollercoaster, but at least there’s some light at the end of the tunnel. You just gotta keep pulling, and eventually, that SSR will show up. Just be prepared for a bit of a grind, and maybe keep your wallet close, just in case.
