Okay, so I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz about these “Fortnite Camps” lately. I figured, why not jump in and see what all the fuss is about? I mean, I play Fortnite, my kids play Fortnite… it seemed like a good way to, you know, connect or something.

Fortnite Camp: Top Tips and Tricks to Level Up Fast!

Getting Started

First thing I did was, well, try to figure out exactly what a Fortnite camp is. Turns out, it’s basically a structured way to learn more about the game and improve your skills. There are tons of different ones out there, some online, some in person. I opted for an online one because, well, convenience.

I chose one that looked pretty legit – had good reviews, seemed organized, and wasn’t crazy expensive. Paid my fee, got the schedule, and boom, I was in.

The Camp Experience

The camp I joined was spread out over a week, with a couple of hours of sessions each day. We used Discord for communication, which was fine. I’m already on Discord all the time anyway, so that part was easy.

  • Day 1: Basic stuff. Building techniques, getting used to different weapons, that sort of thing. Kinda boring for me since I already play, but hey, it’s good for a refresher.
  • Day 2: Started getting into more advanced strategies. Like, how to rotate efficiently, how to predict where the storm’s going to go, and how to use builds to your advantage in a fight. This was actually pretty helpful.
  • Day 3 & 4: We did some scrims – basically, practice matches against other people in the camp. This was the most fun part, hands down. I got totally wrecked a few times, but I also learned a ton by watching how other people played.
  • Day 5: Wrap-up, Q&A, and a little “graduation” ceremony. They gave us some tips on how to keep improving, resources to check out, and that kind of thing.

My Takeaways

Honestly? It was better than I expected. I thought it was going to be a bunch of kids telling me what to do, but the coaches were actually pretty knowledgeable, and the other campers were cool. It was a good mix of learning and actually playing.

Did I magically become a Fortnite pro? Nope. But did I pick up some new tricks and strategies? Definitely. And, maybe most importantly, I had fun. It was a good way to shake up my usual gaming routine and hang with and played together, it was a lot of fun.

So, if you’re thinking about trying a Fortnite camp, I’d say go for it. Just do your research, find one that fits your skill level and schedule, and be ready to learn…and maybe get owned a few times along the way. It’s all part of the process, and all of us had a good time.
