Okay, so I saw the notification this morning – Stellar Blade update 1.004 was ready to download. I’ve been hooked on this game, so any update gets my attention. I immediately paused whatever I was doing (which, let’s be honest, was probably doomscrolling) and started the download.
First things first, I backed up my save file. You never know with these updates, right? Better safe than sorry. I’ve had updates mess up my games before, and losing hours of progress is just…soul-crushing. I navigated to the save data management thingy on my console – it is a little bit of a click-fest but easy enough. Copy, paste, done.
Then, I just let the update do its thing. It wasn’t a huge download, thankfully, so it only took like, I don’t know, 15-20 minutes? I used that time to grab a drink and a snack. You gotta stay hydrated and fueled for optimal gaming, people!
Once the update was finished, I jumped straight back into the game. I loaded up my latest save and started running around, checking things out. My first mission is going through the main menu. So many options! It takes some time. It is kind of exploring.
- I went into the options and checked the settings. And everything seemed normal.
- I fiddled around with the combat challenges.
- I also switched outfits, and the characters are amazing.
So far, so good! It’s running smoothly, and honestly, I can’t notice any HUGE changes off the bat. I’ll need to play more to see if anything significant is different. But at least nothing’s broken, which is always a win!.
My overall feeling
I’m happy they’re still updating the game. It shows the developers care, you know? I’m really excited to keep playing and see what else they add in the future.
